Hi all,
I ask you for 3 minutes to make a difference in an important issue, that's (I guarantee) non-partisan and completely not political at all. Go to the
link below and sign your name onto the petition of the Campaign for
Children's Health Care, a project spearheaded by the organization I work for (Families USA), and that is supported by a coalition that includes the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Public Health Association, the American Federation of Teachers, the Catholic Hospital Association, the National Association of Children's Hospitals, and many other well-known groups. The petition basically just says that health insurance is important for kids and that 9 million children are currently uninsured in the US and that's a problem. No heavy handed solutions to agree with or particular policy approaches to think about; the campaign is just about getting the word out and trying to mobilize Congress to get going on the issue.
I hope you'll sign and consider sending the petition around to any of
your own friends and family who might be inclined to sign.
Erica
