Can advisors see your LORs?

Do advisors read all LORs that you submit? If they see something potentially hurtful, would they encourage you to remove that letter?

Some "committee letters" quote from the letters but don't include the letters themselves as attachments. This does look like cherry picking while, at the same time, protecting you. Some of us really take those letters with a grain of salt. Other schools proundly announce that every letter is included in its entirety as an attachment to the committee letter.

It is very, very rare for us to get a bad letter. I'd say it occurs in less than 1% of applicants.
