I'm kind of new here.I just want to ask if Bitter melon (momordica charantia) could be used for prevention against aids. It's for a school research paper. Thanks in taking time to answer the poll.

You might want to look for some professional journal articles or texts about this. Your local librarian will be happy to help you! Good luck.

MAP30 protein can be purified from bitter melon. It shows both antiviral and anti tumor activity and can inhibit HIV-1. See the Sylvia LeeHuang study in August 1995 Gene. Also look at the March 1995 Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications where a combination of MAP30 and prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors showed some promise. More recent studies, though, seem to have focused on other aspects such as Diabetes.

Bitter melon can be 100% effective against HIV when used as a part of an anti HIV regimen that includes total sexual abstinance, no IV drug abuse, no use of blood products and not being employed in a field where you might be exposed to body fluids or virus containing substances.

In that case, Cartoon Network works as well.

Absolutely works - all you do is slip the melon on your penis and it works like a charm - you may need anything from a cantaloupe to a watermelon, though, depending on the fit. (baby, quit nibbling on the barrier protective device at least until AFTER!)

And, it's a part of this complete breakfast, along with milk and juice and toast! 😉
