I have my goal set at becoming an Reproductive Endocrinologist(RE).

Have you heard anybody becoming RE with a DO degree? Or, do you absolutely have to become an MD?

Last year 1 DO matched one of the 45 acgme reproduction fertility medicine fellowship positions.

A resident I worked with was in PCOM's program. (no longer exists) He got a fellowship in REI.

Yea, kind of, but how much depends on what fellowship you apply for. Around 66% of DOs that apply for acgme cardiology and hem/onc match but only 33% match GI.

One of our professors is an RE. She's a DO.

Likewise with any doctor, gaining a Bachelor's Degree is the initial phase in the instructive trip. In spite of the fact that there is no required significant, future fertility specialists should enroll in a in a pre-med program or make certain to take the essential courses that most therapeutic schools require.
