Anomie
Lack of social norms for a group. It is associated with chaos and inappropriate behavior.


Rational choice
Assumes that people choices are dictated by a rational consideration of alternatives


Exchange theory
Argues that behaviors are driven by expectations of rewards or punishments

the conscious act of changing behavior to manipulate impressions

Behavior is regarded with disapproval or impolite
