can i go dental school with many withdrawal?

hello, i am upper sophomore now
when i was freshman, i had big accident with my family,
i cannot write detail but my father was passed away by this accident.
so i have to drop my all classes. (6 classes)

BIOL

General Biology I W

BIOL

General Biology Lab I W

MATH

Intermediate Algebra W

MATH

College Algebra W

PE

Intermediate Yoga W

SOC

Introduction to Sociology W



i dont know why my life has always accident. including this semester i have 2 more W and 2 Non credit class.

history class, calculus 2 is non credit

and

bio general class 1 and organic chemistry 1 is withdrawal

my gpa 3.5 and science spa now 4.0
and math also 4.0

also my major was bio chem, but i dont want study chem anymore, so i changed major (studio art)
should i change to psychology for dental school?


can i go to NYU dental school or stonybrook?

help me.... :(:(:(:(:(

I would make sure to mention the hardship you faced your freshman year, and how you ended up overcoming it and doing well in your personal statement.

For the rest of your time in college try not to have any more withdrawals and keep doing well in your classes.

As long as you do all the required prerequisites, your major doesn't matter that much. I personally enjoyed my psychology minor because I think it will help me when I work with patients in the future though.

Of course, you have to have volunteering experience and a good DAT as well, so it's too early to know if you can get into NYU or Stonybrook.

Just keep up your grades and you'll be ok. Good luck!
