Can I send in LORs before I submit AMCAS?

I was talking to someone,a nd they told me that I can send in my LORs to schools before I submit my AMCAS. Is that true?

Is it possible to send in your LORs before you receive a secondary?

The person made it seem that no matter when you send it, if they get it, they will just make you a folder and put them in there.

Any thoughts?

No. Wait until they've gotten your stuff from AMCAS at least. I waited until actually receiving the secondaries; some schools prefer this.

Is there a certain date when they all get your amcas materials (assuming I submitted it they day it become available and I was verifiied soon after)

i know that many schools will throw out LORs that have not been requested

Ask the school - many will receive letters before the secondary, I don't think many will just throw them out.
I would wait for AMCAS though.
