Can repeating a SMP have negative effects after starting medical school?

I apologize if this seems like a silly question or if this is posted in the wrong forum. I thought that someone here might be able to offer information relevant to my situation, and I greatly appreciate any input. So basically, I am repeating a SMP with linkage to a medical school provided a certain GPA is achieved. My question is, assuming that I gain acceptance into the medical program, will it ever matter in the future that I repeated the SMP? I know residencies take into consideration repeats during med school, but that wouldn't be the case in this situation, correct? Again, not looking for criticism or discouragement, and thanks in advance for any relevant answers.

If you get into medical school, the most important thing will be your Step 1/Level 1 score, followed by a bunch of other factors regarding your time in medical school. Academic problems before medical school are not even on the radar of residency programs.

smash boards and rotations and i bet it is never brought up.

I actually had a friend in the exact situation as you. However, I have not been in contact with him for a long time. He must be a MS-3 by now. I agree with the above posters, anything before medical is on the bottom of a PDs list (well maybe publishing a paper might be the exception).

Are SAT scores still important?

I'm currently in HS with a strong interest in medicine.

I hear D.O. is the way to go.

BAHAHAHAHA.
Sorry. I just literally laughed out loud at that question, but you're in high school so I'll give you a pass.
No. They don't care about your SAT scores, MD or DO.
You take a different standardized test, the MCAT. Much more scary than the SATs.

What if you went to a school if you got atleast a B in your SMP classes, you don't need to repeat the class during your M1 year and so you took fewer classes during your M1. Would your grades be looked at in a different way because of them being spread out like this?

Probably not. Boards >> Preclinical grades.
