Say you did reasonably well in the WS- Could this ever help you out? Sure, I think it is quite clear that it can't count against you, but overall do you think a good one makes you stand out as an applicant?

I got an N on the writing section. Maybe I shouldn't have listed Reagan and Teddy as examples of extraordinary politicians.

I don't think it will help you that much, it may offset a poor verbal score, but even still not by much.
