Can you apply with no current physician letter?

Hi all,

Is it possible to be able to apply to DO schools that require a letter just to initiate the process before I actually obtain the letter? I do have a letter coming, but I would like my app complete ASAP. Or will the schools see I do not have a letter and just outright reject me? Thank you.

Its kind of late to be applying.

But yes, you can. Your app just won't be marked as complete and won't be reviewed until the letters are in at most schools though.

I am aware, but would like to try to cast a wide net. Do you know if they would send me secondaries still?

Also, keep in mind that some DO schools require a LOR from a DO, so if you're only submitting an LOR from an MD make sure to select schools that will accept it. @Catsfordays

I don't think there's any schools that require LORs before sending you a secondary.
