Is it a realistic possibility to get into a Univ. Calif. med school with a 3.5 gpa from UCLA and a 36M (9V,12PS,15B) mcat? EC and LOR are average, and already rejected from SF. Do you guys know anybody who is orm in a UC school with a gpa as low as mine?

I'm sure its possible, unless their mean GPA is like a 4.4 or something. you will have to explain that given your great science MCAT scores why the mediocre gpa? Unless you have a reasonable explanation (had to work, take care of sick family member, incredibly difficult grading system at undergrad, star of football team, was campus stud had no time etc.), then the discrepancy can be viewed as a lack of effort and dedication on your part, so just be prepared if/when this comes up during an interview
