hello everyone,
I'm just sharing my thoughts and was wondering
if any of you are experiencing what I'm feeling.
I got into allopathic medical school for this Fall 2003
and I'm really excited about starting this new chapter
of my life this August.
However, I can't help but feel depressed for some
of my friends, who applied this year and did not get in.
My pre-med friends are one of the most brilliant, hard working,
and caring individuals I know with all the same excellent
stats and experiences as me; however, for some reason
or another, they didn't get in or others did not even get interviews.
They're all really happy for me and they say very encouraging words, but I can also read their faces of sadness and I'm not sure what's the appropriate way of responding. I can't help but feel guilty although there's no real underlying basis for my guilt.
Are any other fellow applicants who got accepted this year feeling what I'm feeling?
