Thank you so much for your input! I will post again once I get my MCAT score. As for the postbac year, since we don’t have any formal postbac premed programs here in Canada, would you suggest that I go to the US to do a well established postbac program OR just take some upper level science courses in my city (since I have already taken all the prerequisites)?
*Money isn’t so much of an issue for me, it’s all about maximizing my chances.

Yes, I think your only options are to look at US programs. It's a bit easier to enter since graduate school admissions is more flexible for non-US applicants than medical school. On the other hand, the master's programs are expensive in the US. I think it depends on your budget and any feedback you might get from Canadian med students (if you want to stay in the US) about postbac courses before entering medical school there.
