Canadian in Australia

Hello I was hoping someone could provide me with information regarding, or a source where I can find information regarding how a Canadian citizen would study in Australia and practice in Canada? More specifically, to be able to practice in Canada after residency do I need to match for a spot in the United States or Canada? If I do my internship/residency in Australia what is the likelihood of being able to practice in Canada?
