Hello Guys,

As a recent graduate from a Canadian university, I am wondering if there is any difference between the letter grades I received from a Canadian university compare to the letter grades from an USA university. Do they just convert your Canadian % into American letter grade based on the American school system? (My school gives both % and letter grades based on their own system)

For instance, is a B+ from a Canadian university the same as a B+ from a USA university when I apply for dental schools in the USA? or it depends on the school you are applying to?

My main concern is that I got couple C s for my pre reqs and I am afraid that those C s will be converted to C- and if that's the case I may have to retake them......

Thanks in advance!

The letter grades are almost the same between canadian and US system. The only difference is 85-89 (A) is 4.0 and >90 (A+) is given 4.3 in AADSAS application system.
