Hey guys,

Currently I m in my second year standing at 2.99 gpa. I messed up my two years because I really didn't want to go to school. But I made most of it and helped with a ton of research that lead me to wanting to be an optometrist. I want to know what you guys think about my chances if I really buckle down for the next two years and apply to us optometry schools.
Thanks

I think if you really apply yourself the next two years, you have a chance. You can also call/email admissions offices of schools you're interested in, tell your story, and ask them what they'd like to see from you to make yourself a competitive applicant in a couple of years. That would be your best bet.
