Hey, just wanted to get a feel of how many students from Canada are going to Detroit Mercy. Anyone from Toronto thinking of staying in Windsor and commuting every day.

I don't know if that's a great idea.
A. I've heard that Windsor is a dump
B. I imagine crossing the border is a lengthy process, especially at rush hour and especially if you're commuting with a large number of people.
C. I've heard that the suburbs of Detroit are rather nice and safe.

I applied to UDM but I realized that I like the city of Boston too much to continue with my UDM app when I got into BU.

I live in the area (which I must add is far from being a dump) and do know a couple people who make the commute everyday. They assure me that it's no trouble at all. They've told me that you might get small nuisances, like the occasion pull-over to do a quick search, or back-ups on holidays like thanksgiving, but it's definitely tolerable and you will get people every year who do it.

They also always speak highly of the school, on a side note.
