Canadians? help - AMCAS credit hours

    any canadians out there that can help me figure out what 'credit hours' are, exactly? All my school goes by is semesters, how does this convert to credit hours? thanks!

    generally speaking, a semester = 3 credit hours, and a full year course = 6 credit hours. This should be true for most Ontario schools, but I'm not sure if the system is different for other provinces.

    if there's a lab for a particular course (1 semester course), it's 4 credits

    thanks for your help guys, this makes no logical sense whatsoever..

    so lemme get this straight,
    1 semester (half course)= 3 credit hours
    1 full course= 6 hours
    1 half course + lab= 4 credit hours

    what about a full course with lab? 8 credit hours?

    :confused:
