I'm trying to decide between applying to Trinity School of Medicine or American University of the Carribean. Does anyone have any experience or insights with any of these schools and which one would better help me get into a US residency?

Thanks!

Obviously AUC is the better of the options, but even then it's a weak university with bad graduation/residency prospects for its students. If you want to actually obtain a residency or graduate in the US I would recommend avoiding the Carib and try to become competitive for either USMD or USDO.

i hear st. george and AUC are the best two

AUC > "Trinity"

Do not go anywhere other than AUC, SGU, Saba, or Ross, if you are looking at the Caribbean.

It depends on your goal and self-confidence.

SGU, AUC, Saba, and Ross will land you competitive residencies.

Going to a $14k tuition/year Caribbean med school such as AISM in Guyana will save you a ton of money. However, you might have difficulties landing a clinical rotation in the US (always talk to past graduates and current students before making a decision).

If at all possible, and within redemption, shape up your app for a US MD/DO school before considering the warmth of the islands...

Thanks for the info..I'll look into the other threads suggested.
