Hello SDN'ers,

I've been lurking for a while and would really appreciate any suggestions.....

I just got invited to interview at Case and Cleveland Clinic Lerner (yeah!) and I was wondering if anyone had tips on getting from the airport into town, places to say (cheap, not crummy), if they have a student hosting program, and how the interviewes were for either or both programs. Also for any who interviewed at both places, will they let you do both in one day and is this advisable?

Thanks in advance! You guys rock!

The airport is pretty far from the area where case and CCF are from what I remember doing a rotation there.... cabfare runs anywhere from 30-35 bucks one way. I think there's a bus/metro line that runs from the airport.

Thank you for your response!

I know you SDN'ers are out there........I would really appreciate any insights.

Thanks again.

there's an RTA (train) that runs from hopkins airport to Case (get off at University Circle stop, should be about 45 min), cost is $1.50. so when you get off the plane, just look for RTA in the ground transportation (just follow the sign); Case does have student hosting so look around, much hotels are cheap too, if you need more info, contact me cuz well, I go to Case

The RTA (Rapid) goes straight from inside the airport to a block away from the Case campus (university circle stop). I advise you to take it during the day as there are few cabs that stop there. If you have a student host maybe they can pick you up from the RTA stop (i picked my interview people up). Otherwise, there are several hotels downtown that you can try (which are also accessible from the airport vial RTA). OR you can stay at the Intercontinental hotel which is situated on the Cleveland Clinic campus. The RTA is $1.50 so its yoru best bet for a cheap way to get to case.

You can't do both in one day; the day lasts too long for each, but they try to accomodate you on consecutive days. (haven't interviewed yet but just scheduled both of mine 🙂 ) Schedule your university interview first so you have the best chance of this.
