Just received my Post-Interview-Hold from Case (via snail mail). Gosh, that hurt more than I expected. Anyone else hear news from Case recently?

I am waiting too. I excitedly rush home after work only to find nothing in the mail from Case. What is a post interview hold? Is this the same as waitlist? Best of luck Funshine.

Wish me luck too...bye the way, when did you interview, just to give me an idea of when I might be hearing something? Thanks

Post interview hold just means your file is still under consideration...and you can be notified of their final decision as early as next week or as late as April. But yeah, it might as well be called a waitlist. They're all the same, in my opinion. I interviewed in late September. Good luck!

Hopefully, I'll be getting my letter soon. I interviewed there in late September, too. I'm biting my nails with nervousness.

Count me in on the 'post-interview hold' category. Did anyone get in?

I'm also joining the "post-interview hold" group. I'm half sad and half mad. I thought that interview went really well 🙁 .

ugh... i'm still waiting for my sis to call me since they send the letter to my house, it doesn't feel so good not being able to open my own letter of ******

I received an acceptance today. I also interviewed on the first day available.

From what's in the MSAR and in US News & World Report Premium Edition, Case accepts a good amount of the people they interview (approximately half), so I'm sure good things will happen. And considering that if you already interviewed and heard back from them, you're probably doing pretty well by just getting interview offers that early.

Good luck!

I interviewed on 9/26 at Case...any of yall interview with me on that day? I was the tall white guy in the dark suit....oh wait that isn't very descriptive..hahaha....anyway holla back if you were on that day

I interviewed 9/26 too (although my identity shall remain secret...) but I haven't heard anything. You? I have absolutely no patience. Did all of you that have heard interview earlier than us?

me too (in all aspects)

I interviewed there on 9/27, too. 🙂
I guess it doesn't bode well for me that I have not received anything from Case yet. I think I should assume the worst.....ahhh

Congrats, Hebrew_Hammer! I am green with envy over your acceptance now. hehe

 I just got my acceptance also! And an invite to apply to the scholarships. I'm so excited!

I... hate... slow... mail.....

Trying SO hard not to read into this! Now, the eternal question: big envelope or small?

CONGRATULATIONS ALL, esp. Hebrew Hammer, way to go 9/26 interview day!

The acceptance comes in a smaller envelope but my first thought was that it could not be a rejection because the envelope obviously had more than one sheet inside. Good luck!

Thanks for the headsup Tito - great news came today! Yay!

Thanks yall!! I appreciate it...Definitely one of my best days in a while. Best of luck to yall with Case and your other schools!!

Hey what was your opinions (all who have interviewed there so far) of case? How was the interview day? Any advice would be much appreciated. It is one of my top choices and I'm interviewing there soon.

Thanks so much.

I Loved Case. The school is attached directly to the rest of the campus so the place is alive with young people. The campus is gorgeous, the facilities and hospitals are amazing (of course including the Cleveland Clinic). The class I sat in on was probably the best single class that I have seen at all my interviews. The class was divided into three parts first the MD cam out and described the clinical disease of the day, how it is identified, characteristics, treatments etc... next the PhD came out and explainied it from a basic science perspective. Finally an actaul patient came out and talked with the students. Definitely a great way to tie information directly to clinical care.
Also do not be swayed by Cleveland. The campus is in a very nice area that feels totally different from the rest of the city, and the student slive in beautiful and very affordable homes in a quite and safe neighborhoods.
Finally the faculty seems to be incredubly dedicated to the students. The curriculum has been totally changed and the education you will receive will be one of the best in the country. Also don't forget that Case is ranked not only in the top 20 for research but number 15 for primary care, which means you will have amazing clinical experience and will graduate a fantastic generalist befor eyou specialize.

Good luck

I was similarly really impressed with Case... you'll have a great time! Be prepared for downtime during the day and a LONG faculty interview - although both are fun!

Does anyone who's interviewed already know roughly how many accepted folks are asked to apply for the scholarships? All? Half? Curiosity may kill this cat.
