CE question for new licensees

Hi all,

I was licensed in New Jersey in late 2018 and thus had to "renew" last June 30th 2019. The board website indicated: "Please note that new licensees are not required to complete continuing education for their first renewal period." Would I need the 40 credits by next renewal, 2021, or would 2019-2021 count as my "first biennial renewal period" and thus I would need them for 2023?

Agreed that I would email the board to be sure, but I would anticipate probably needing to complete the hours.
