I've been around long enough to notice that there's enough negative energy on this forum to fuel more than a few buses!

So, let's make this thread is a place to announce and celebrate each others' little victories as we prepare for the MCAT.

Finished the PS section for the first time?

    Aced a section, any section?

    Finally raised your verbal score?

    Celebrate here! :luck: to everyone.

I suppose I'll start...I scored my personal best on VR this weekend. I'm not a native speaker, so I'm thrilled :)

    Nice!

I got the same on the CBT10 the day before I took the MCAT and it made me feel invincible - best confidence boost ever. Of course it was an aberration compared to my previous scores and I didn't feel nearly the same after the real thing, but boy do I remember feeling like the acceptances were already in the mail after getting that 38.

I took one last VR section today before I go on study hiatus (to recover from severe fatigue before May 11th), and hit a 14 (AAMC CBT 7). :hardy:

Definitely taking the CBT 10 then.

I got a 12 on the BS section of a GS test the other day... that made me feel special.

I'm taking the real thing on Friday and I got a 36 on CBT 9 today. I was feeling great! Then I took an older Kaplan test and didn't do neaarrrly as well. Please tell me the real deal is similar to these CBTs!!

Are the AAMC practice CBTs easier than the real stuff?

    I just took AAMC CBT3 and got a 38.

They say CBT 3 is older, and therefore less accurate, but a 38 on it is fabulous anyway... go party.

I took the 3R before they came out with the CBT 3, and I got a huge verbal score. However, I got the exact same score on the CBT 3 as I did on the CBT 10, which is the most recent. I'll let you know in a month how that compares to my actual score.

Unfortunately my Bio score has become stagnant. I was thinking about buying EK bio 1001. Any input?

    Kaplan 7

    10 PS 10 VR 12 B 32

I am pretty excited since I got 7 PS 6 VR 7 B 22, on the real thing in April.
But I am hesitant to trust the Kaplan scoring.

    12 VR, 12 BS, 12 PS on 3R

Just did a 12 PS on 4, finished 15 minutes early though. I looked back at the questions I missed, though, and if I had taken time to pace myself through some of the problems, I would have gotten a 13, but only when I get a real 13 will I celebrate.

About to go through a VR. If I get a 13 or better, I will be <3

30 (12-9-9) on aamc 5R :D i havent started studying yet... or more accurately, ive so far reviewed up through kinematics and force for physics :p i hope itll go up with some studying and practices! this was about a week after taking 3R, thinking that'd be a good diagnostic, getting a 8-8-8 = 24, and finding out it's not really an accurate reflection, so taking 5R since i wanted to procrastinate on the actual studying part =0

So i recently took cbt7 and told myself that if i got at least an 11-10-11 then Id move up my test date from Aug 20 to July 13. Ive already been studying since mid april and my brain is about to explode. I managed to get an 11-10-12 and made the date switch. I just went over the exam however, and noticed that 3 questions on the BS were unanswered, although i clearly remember what answer i chose for them. Same with one question on the verbal section. The cost of using crappy library computers, i guess. I am extremely pleased however because after making these "adjustments" my new score is an 11-11-14. I nearly had a heart attack when i saw this score. the highest id ever scored before was a 33. I was nervous about taking the July 13th, but now i feel more ready than ever. lets just hope my dreams arent shattered by cbt8 and 9 in the next coming weeks.
