I've been trying to find info regarding this topic. I tried to resist posting more "which book to use thread?" But after reading threads as far back as 2006, I still haven't gotten much info. From what I gather, the consensus is the 99 edition would be gold and the newer ones are relatively burdensome.

Any newer insights on the importance of cell bio? I realize biochem isn't exactly cell bio, but would getting RR biochem + FA + UWorld/Kaplan be good enough?

Just trying to cover my bases. If I get the newer edition, which chapters are the high yield one? It would really help if anyone has a link to the table of contents of the 99 edition so that I can fish out the chapters to use if I opt to get the book

Thanks again!

Not even gonna bother with it; histology is ridiculously low yield.

The RR/FA/UW + KAPLAN triad has worked for me fine so far.

There's no histo in that book. It's a good review if you're weak in molecular stuff, the second messenger chapter is pretty sweet.
