Cell phone plans in Buffalo, NY

whats a GOOD and RELIABLE (i emphasize that over CHEAP) cell phone service in buffalo, ny? right now i have at&t but its not available in buffalo. thanx

I am from Buffalo, and I am still here
I have Sprint for my cell phone. I thought it was a good deal, but my bill is supposed to only be 39.99 a month, and for some strange reason they have started to charge me 59.99(mind you I usually don't even use my phone) I have to get ahold of them but it usually takes like a million hours to get through the line.
But, the minutes seem to last pretty long. I get 350 anytime mins per month and 2500 off peak mins(every day after 8pm, and all weekend) The only time I really went over(and by like $100! was during formal rush and I was rush chair so I was making a million calls daily to Long Island phone numbers)
I like the phone itself a lot, it's a tiny silver flip phone. It's adorable.
I do hear that cricket is really cheap around here, but you may not get an asthetically pleasing phone.

I know cuz my fiance has Sprint and ends up using my AT&T <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Sprint has worked fine for me, and I don't even have roam. It is just about always in service. The phone never cuts out so I have been impressed by that. But I have a Buffalo phone number
It's interesting bc all my sisters who have a LI or NYC number have some problems with this. Their phones are always going out of range/service. I don't know if it's bc I have one of the newest phones, or if someway, somehow I have better service with a Buffalo number.

i have sprint here in buffalo and it works great. then again i had when i lived in nyc a year ago and i thought it worked great there. i don't understand what people are complaining about. i know a ton of ppl who have it and love it. we don't have too many choices here in buffalo-sprint and verizon are really the only option if you make a lot of long distance calls. fyi-my sprint package costs $39.99 (350 anytime/2150 night and weekend) and comes almost $48 bucks after the taxes are included. the plans now are different, but expect to add about $8 in taxes if you have a buffalo number.
