Do you guys happen to know if AT&T has good coverage in Milwaukee? If not, which service would you recommend ie Cingular, Sprint, etc...

Thanks!!!!!!

Don't know cause I got Sprint. Sprint is better here than in southern California but still get dropped calls once in awhile.

I've got Sprint here also. Works fairly well. There are a few dead spots within the school building itself that other cell users (Cingular) don't seem to have (i.e. their cell phones start ringing while sitting in class--I don't even get a signal in there).

I've got US Cellular...I'm in Madison now, but it also works well in Milwaukee. I've never had dropped calls, and am pleased with the service. I should say, I will still have US Cell. when I go to MCW.

Thanks you guys! I looked up US Cellular (never heard of them before!) and they seem to have really good plans! Can't go wrong with unlimited minutes baby! :D Maybe that's what I'll go with then when I move over there!

In the milwaukee area, the people I know who have the most service problems with their phones (i.e. getting a signal, etc.) have Sprint. Sprint doesn't have enough towers around. There's another provider that is bad, but I can't remember which one (I'll post if I do remember).

On the other hand, I've never known anyone with cingular or U.S. cellular to have problems with service in SE Wisconsin.

Hey Hellojed-

Just one note, seeing you're from California. If you travel home semi-frequently, note that US Cellular doesn't have unlimited roaming minutes on their "Local" plan. (i.e. if you use the phone outside of WI, you will get charged 55c a minute).

I think that's primarily the reason why all of us out-of-staters have Sprint. No roaming anywhere, back in California, in Chicago, on vacation in NY, etc (if you can get a signal!)

USCellular does have a nationwide plan, but you'll see it's considerably more expensive...

Oh crap! I didn't notice that! Thanks for the heads up! Okay, back to looking up rate plans... <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Sprints plan was great for me because I visit California and Arizona a few times a year for a couple weeks at a time. It was like my home phone when I was out there because it was free to use. Also, during my multiple interview trips in 4th year (I went to 11 different states) having a cell phone to use without extra charges was a godsend.
