ok I've been studying this topic out of the TPR class book I wanted to use the EK book and Nova book that I also have for reference, but they don't seem to talk about this subject, well not the calculation part of it anyways.

I heard there an ez way to do center of mass, does anyone know it? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

There is a visualization method (using a drawing) and a calculation method (as shown by Gleek). The ez method involves combining both. If you are looking for physics materials that discuss shortcuts and test strategies (such as CoM problems), they are definitely out there. Pages 190-194 first show the standard method and then a quicker, logic-based method.

You should learn to do these quickly, because they are easy to write free-standing questions where it's easy for a test writer to bury you in the math.
