the answer is no and its not because Im a physician. Even though CRNA say that they get the same education and training as MD's you can never replace residency training, never. And I even question this "same training/education BS thing" What we physicians learn in medical school doesnt make us the physicians that we will be in the future. I would have never felt competent to practice as an independent physician after graduating from med school. Its in my 3 years of residency training with near 80 hours per week of training that I became the physician that I am right now. Yes, CRNA make less than MD's and they are better for a broke country but this is from a economical/government point of view, what does the average american wants?
