Here is my relevant information:

Resident of Ohio - Undergraduate at The Ohio State University
Estimated cGPA upon graduation: 3.5
Estimated sGPA upon graduation: 3.3

I am earning a dual degree in Biology and Finance.

2yrs. of employment in the Dept. of Orthopedic Surgery at Ohio State.
2yrs. of physician OR and clinical shadowing.
2yrs. of Pre-Op, OR, and Recovery volunteer work.
1yr. of research involving medical imaging related to MS patients.
4yr. member of AED pre-medical honorary.

I have yet to take the MCAT but have scored within the range of 30-34 on several practice exams.

I suffered damage to my GPA during my freshman and sophomore years due to the fact that I personally underwent 5 extensive orthopedic surgeries.

What are my chances at getting into an MD program and if so which schools may be the best bets considering that I would like to stay near the Midwest or East Coast if possible.

Your best chances for an MD school are always your state schools, of which you are lucky to have many. Ideally, you'll have an MCAT score of 32 to compensate for the lower cGPA. The schools we'd suggest would be very different if you got a 30 vs a 34. Take a look at the School Selection spreadsheet stickied to the top of this forum. Put in your projected stats, and the grid will suggest schools that will fit them.
