For obvious reasons, I'm focusing on DO schools. I'm wondering if applying to lower-tier MD schools would be a waste of my time..?

A little more about me: Maine resident, honors college (high honors), 1yr research experience for honors thesis, EMT license, year and half of experience working in an ER as a tech, physician shadowing, volunteer hours in PHO office. Also, upward trend regarding GPA: avg for last 4 semesters = 3.90

You would have a chance at some MD schools such as:
Vermont
Quinnipiac
Albany
New York Medical College
Oakland Beaumont
Western Michigan
Rosalind Franklin
Creighton
GW
Drexel
Temple
Jefferson
any new private schools that open in 2018 (Seton Hall, etc.)

It is too late for this year. Apply in June and submit all your secondaries by July. Also apply to several DO schools including UNECOM.
