Hello

My current major is Zoology
Science GPA GPA: 3.8 (probably dropping to a 3.7 after this semester due to 2 really tough classes)
Overall GPA: The same as ^^
MCAT: 31

ECs:
Supplemental Instructor for Chem I and Chem II - (I go to class, take notes, and then "reteach" the class at night to students. It gave me the ability to teach concepts as well as talk confidently to a group of people)

Student Athlete Tutor - (I'm an employee of the SEC, and I tutor student athletes. Unlike SI which is a group setting, this gives me more 1 on 1 tutelage experience)

Vice President/Founding member of Diversity in Honors - We are actually starting the club this year and I am the vice president as well as a founding member. It's a club dedicated for support for minority students in the Auburn honors college.

Random, but I was co-captain of an intramural basketball team that went into the second round play offs. I also played Intramural football and volleyball, and I was on the club ultimate frisbee team. Also, i don't think theyd care and I probably wouldnt/shouldnt mention it, but i was in the Auburn Smash club and I used to play SSBM competitively before college LOL. Also, plenty of also random stuff like mission trips, teaching english, private tutoring on the side, etc.

Research:
Undergraduate Research Fellow - I actually got this fellowship the spring of my freshmen year and I used it until the end of my sophomore year, where I ended up switching labs/majors. For the fellowship, I did research in microbiology with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the bacteria involved with cystic fibrosis. I gave a presentation on it at a conference, but unfortunately I decided Microbiology wasnt for me so I switched to Zoology.

Bird lab - Now I work in a lab that does research on birds. We're testing the effect of cortisol on the growth, development, and physiology of zebra finches.

Volunteer:

National member of AED, which is Alpha Epsilon Delta. We help around the auburn area.

I also volunteered a summer at a nursing home, which gave me 1 on 1 exposure to the elderly. My tasks were considered clinical.

Have experience as a counselor for summer camps. This gave me the ability to not only look after kids, but also to be there emotionally when they have deep questions (It was a Christian retreat)

Also went on mission trips to do construction work for people in impoverished areas.

Shadowing:

Shadowed both primary care and specialists.

Skills: Know how to fluently speak Spanish, Chinese, and English.
