looking for residencies in NYC, chicago, phili, pitts, the likes. got step 1 227. gpa barely above 3.0 (due to laziness). what u guys think

Search function does wonders for helping find out your chances for IM. That being said, I'll let others elaborate on specific programs. Here's the common rhetoric that's prescribed in these parts:

- Apply broadly
- Work hard for your Step 2
- Try to honor your Sub-I
- Solidify strong LORs
- Sprinkle in a little research if you're interested

- Come up with a better excuse for your GPA than being lazy

That's a solid way to sell yourself to a program. "I would have done better but I just can't really be bothered to do stuff I don't want to do."

No problem finding a community program in any of those places.

(don't mention the "lazy" part)
