Moderate chances at DO. Very slim (pretty much nonexistent) for MD

Strongest chance at WVSOM. Marginal chances at other DO schools, thanks to high MCAT. Two low GPAs is really hard to reconcile.

Probably wouldn't be worth the money to apply to the MD school at WVU? Dunno about that one, check their matriculant data.

Retake a couple of couses yuo did bad in and take a few additional upper level science courses. In that time, build your ec's as well. Then apply to any DO program and in-state/low tier MD schools.

Concur, but you're going to need at least a 3.4 to be competitive for any low-tier MD school. Your state schools? Low chance maybe.

According to the graphs on this site a white applicant with your GPA and MCAT has a 30% chance of an acceptance to a MD school. However, remember that those stats include students attending tier 1 undergraduate schools ( Ivy League, etc. ) so depending on your undergraduate school your chances could be half that. Apply to Marshall and West Virginia and some of the newer medical schools that have fewer applicants such as Hofstra, Oakland-Beaumont, Quinnipiac. King College ( Abingdon VA), Palm Beach and Northstate CA have tentative 1st year matriculating classes for August 2014. That would be potentially 8 MD schools to apply to . Your chances are better for DO schools-apply to at least 20. The key is to apply early in June and have all your secondaries complete by August. With your stats you should be able to receive a few DO interviews and possibly a MD interview.

NOTE: quote stolen directly from another post, but it's 100% true!

And this kids is why you should take a class on statistics. This 30% encompasses people that came back from 2.X GPA, got a second bachelors, had a masters/smp with high marks, completed a PhD, were legacy, admitted to schools that are easier for in-state (kansas, arkansas, etc.) and another number of factors. An applicant that bombed a masters program and barely got acceptable marks in the other one should not be thought of as part of the 30%

OP has good chance for DO, but none for MD.

If you really want to go MD I would say do an SMP or rigorous biochem/molecular biology/physiology focused masters and do extremely well. It would also help to retake the 30 and ideally bring that up to a 33+. With all of the heavily qualified applicants, a 30 barely will cut it anymore. If you do the above then you'd be in much better shape. Right now, I think you should be okay for DO.

Retake as many C's in your current college as you can and you should be OK for DO as long as you tie everything together well in your PS. No more minors!

Great chances at DO. Very slim chances for MD.

Do postbacc to improve your chances. Good for DO but if you have a story MD schools will look at you.
