I've had a bad 1st two years of undergrad (2.8 gpa frosh year) And this year I feel as if my GPA will only be about a 2.3. The reason my relative GPA is low is because freshman year I took Gen Chem. 1 and received a C- (Took at a different school) and I recieved about the same grade in gen chem 1 last semester. I understand the error in my old study and life habits that may have affected my GPA. I also endured several family issues within these first two years. my chances for med school even as a URM Student Athlete at a top 10 university over? (UPitt) I want to show a strong upward trend as well as get involved in research and shadowing during the summer. I've also thought off SMP's and Post-Bacc that would help my GPA once I am no longer an athlete.
