Wondering about how competitive I will be for OBGYN ACGME residency programs - especially looking at Buffalo, SUNY Upstate, Albany, Rochester etc.

Step 1- 225
COMLEX - 671

Research background, along with some research in medical school and leadership all throughout med school. Good GPA in the first 2 years of school. Got an A in my clerkship for OBGYN. I'm an OMS-3 so I don't have letters yet, but I don't think I will have a problem getting good ones.

Thanks in advance!

I didn't do ob/gyn but I will say based on my match experience, and based on your stats, I'm confident you could match ob/gyn. However, the hardest thing about the match is its seemingly random on where you get interviews..to a degree. So matching a certain region/place is hard without SUBis, IMO.

Good chance, with increasing probability with more programs applied to.

You'll match, though at a university program in NY will be tougher

You've got a chance but I would definitely apply AOA as a backup.

You'll be fine. Apply broadly and get good letters and you should match without issue.

Anyone know if NYU has ever taken a DO? I've heard they are DO unfriendly...That is my dream program.
