Chances of Matching in FM?

Hello all,

I just got my Step 2 CK scores back. Wanted to know my competitiveness for FM residencies?
My stats are: Step 1 = 211, Step 2 = 237, CS passed all 1st attempts. Honors in all core clerkships. Carib grad. NonUS IMG.

Anyone able to shed some info?

did you graduate already or still in school? regardless, I'd say high, because the ck average for those who matched last year was in the lower 220 I think

Somewhere around 50%, looking at the 2016 charting outcomes data. Better than that if you were Big 4, worse than that if you weren't.

Tough because of the combination of non-US and IMG.

But there are places that will take you, just gotta find them and make sure you apply.

The new Charting Outcomes is pretty great in that regard- breaks it down by US-IMG, non-US IMG, DO, and US MD.

Apply to both IM/FM... I was told it's easier to match IM than FM. Not sure how true is that...
