US-IMG (born in Australia, married US cit and got a greencard)
Australian University
Step 1 232, Step 2 240's, CS first time pass. (no red flags at all)
3 first author high impact journal articles (all original research in orthopedic surgery)
1 second author mid impact immunology journal
1 national level conference presentation
1 state level conference presentation
Previous doctor of physiotherapy.
3 months of USCE all in general surgery (3 letters of recommendation from USA general surgeons)

Do you think i have a chance getting a categorical position assuming i apply to every gen surg program.
Or do you think i will land a prelim position at a good program.

Are my stats competitive for a very good prelim program like your JH or mayo type programs?

Thanks for any advice peeps

What do you mean by 3 month of USCE? Electives done while a student, paid externships at private hospitals after graduation, or an observership? Thank you.
