Hello all,

I've created a simplified chart for those of you (test takers or adcoms) who are still confused about how to correlate the percentiles with the mcat score.

Source: https://www.aamc.org/students/download/430684/data/finalpercentileranksfortheoldmcatexam.pdf

Important information: "Prior versions of these tables (pre‐2012), as well as current score reporting systems maintained by AMCAS, report the "Percentile Rank Range" in these columns rather than a single percentile rank. The percentile rank columns in the current tables correspond to the upper bound of the percentile rank ranges provided in these other versions. The lower bounds in these other versions essentially serve to provide continuity across score points."

Good point. There's not much difference between a 39 and 42 anyway, lol. Definitely won't be a decisive factor for admissions.
I bet that depends on school. A 38 is median for Wustl, 41 their 90th percentile. Statistically you're way out in the tail seeing little percentile change, but to app readers there those 3 points are probably not insignificant.
