Where does everyone look for cheap plane tickets? I have tried

Cheaptickets.com
expedia.com
travelocity.com

Anyone know anything better?

try <a href="http://www.orbitz.com" target="_blank">www.orbitz.com</a>

no such thing

I found travelocity, or I guess Yahoo Travel (they are one in the same apparantly) to be the best. I kept searching everywhere I could in a hope that...well I dont know what I hoped. Maybe that I would get a plane ticket for about twenty bucks...that never happened! But travelocity seemed to get me the best fares..when you search, the first fare that comes up sometimes is a best buy or something that is applicable only on certain days that is considerably cheaper. So I managed to fly out and return on the days of the week they wanted. So search around and something relatively cheap will come up...I hope..

Hi. Try priceline.com. Actually, the cheapest tickets I've found are either through USAir or Delta websites.

US Air and Delta are both crappy airlines. I'll never fly on either of those again.

I got really screwed with Orbitz and wound up having to spend an extra hundred on my plane ticket with another ticket seller. But that could also be because I was booking a flight under a week. Other people seem to do very well with Orbitz though. Check em out.

merlin,

Could you explain how you got screwed by Orbitz. I use them all the time and I don't want the same thing to happen to me. Thanks.

Make sure you register with ORBITZ before you start looking for flights. I was registered and when I found a flight, it told me I had to reregister. By the time I got back to the search screen, it told me my flight was no longer available!

Also, USAir now has really cheap shuttles between NYC, Boston, and DC. I don't know if that helps anyone out. You just need to fly between certain weekdays or if you fly on the weekend, it needs to be a Saturday departure. It's under "Go Shuttles."

Also, if you're on the east coast, look into AirTran. Although, they used to be ValuJet, so I'm a little wary of using them!

Good luck.

By the way, I don't think I know so much about flying b/c of interviews 🙂 I have a long distance boyfriend in Philly and he's originally from NY, so I've gotten good with flying out of Pittsburgh which is a horrible USAir hub!

Southwest Airlines have good deals right now. <a href="http://www.southwest.com" target="_blank">www.southwest.com</a> or 1-800-I-FLY-SWA

Also try JetBlue Airlines for cheap, cheap flights to and from NYC (only limited to certain cities, though)
