and Dallas NY is 160 on www.expedia.com

Hmmm...actually those prices seem pretty reasonable (or at least typical) to me. Remember air fares are in no way based on the distance traveled; makes no sense sometimes.

I typically find the cheapest prices on expedia or travelocity. Some cheaper prices are available on priceline but you have to meet their requirements and it is not meant for convenient travel.

Staying over a Saturday can usually save you money, even enough to pay for an extra night in a hotel; flying off peak is cheaper as are the "start up airlines", ie, jet Blue, American West, etc.
