checking the re-taking august mcat box on amcas or not???

someone asked on a thread if they alreasy had a mcat score but were going to re-take the august mcat for a better score if they could go ahead and not mark the re-taking mcat part of amcas to have application processed earlier. A reply was posted and the person said not to check the mark, or else they woulb be able to see your previous score and decide to give secondary or interviews based on that score. I don't know if i understand, what do i mark if i do not want them to judge my previous mcat score that i took before and base if they want me or not on that? i want them to wait on my august mcat score. Can anyone give some insight???

I have a feeling that they will know as soon as you sign up for the August MCAT....regardless of checkin the box or not....might as well not check

Check the box. They are going to see all your scores regardless, but checking the box will mean they will hold off on a final decision until October scores come out.

If you don't check the box, they will assume your first score is your only score if they get to your app before October, and will base their decision on that.
