Ok, I'm studying for the DAT which I will take in september and I have question about the gen chem section. Do I need to know all the formulas from Kaplan and my texts or are they given on the test or is the test light on calculations altogether? I really sucked at chem because of the math involved, I hope it is light on the DAT 😀 .

I think it is a very good idea to know all of the equations. On the DAT that I took, there were a lot of problems that required calculations. The good thing is that the problems were fairly straightforward and easy. The type of questions that I remember seeing a lot of involved calculating or working with moles/molarity/molality.

good luck!
