Are the chemical reactions on the MCAT always balanced?

Also, is there a consolidated list of the specific IR, NMR, UV-Vis values that would be good to know for the MCAT?

There's about 10 values for each IR and NMR that you should be familiar with that nearly every prep book includes (focus on functional groups and distinctive patterns for them, or for NMR, where they would appear: downfield or upfield; a little conceptual understanding might help with this). UV-Vis, basically just realize conjugation absorbs visible light and can be seen in color.

Rxns are not always balanced. The first thing you should do NMW is make sure the reaction is balance when you see a reaction

Dude... not only are they not balanced, but they sometimes don't write out the reaction i.e. they only mention nomenclature.
