Anyone have any ideas on a good place to volunteer in the Chicago area? I'm looking for more of a small clinic where I can get some real experience.

Anyone have any ideas on a good place to volunteer in the Chicago area? I'm looking for more of a small clinic where I can get some real experience.

Children's Memorial has an excellent volunteer program, however, depending on your availability the waiting list can be a few months to a few years. You could also call up some of the hospitals to see if they recommend any smaller clinics in the area.

I would try Cook County Hospital (Stroger). There is no waiting list. Most times they are happy to have you around. You can select your department as well as move around to different departments.
