Chicago Med --- Scholarship??

I just got a call from Finch telling me that they wanna interview me, plus I'm eligible for a $15K renewable scholarship! 😀 Has anyone ever heard of this before? Honestly, I had pretty much decided that I wouldn't bother going to an interview in Chicago at this point, but maybe it's worthwhile now... I'm just now sure, this school is so damn expensive!

BTW, she said that about 35 people were eligible for the scholarship and they are all being asked to interview on March 26. Any other SDNer's gonna be there?

I got this same call last Wed. Whether the money is worth it to you is something only you can decide.

However, I will also be there on the 26th, and so will praying4MD (I sure hope she doesn't mind me speaking for her).

Shoot man, its gonna be an interesting day if they have 35 of us there to interview though. I don't think there have been more than 15 people on any other interview day I've had!

Count me in. I'll be there. And here I was feeling all special about a scholarship offer... turns out a whole 35 people got the same offer. Oh well, I still feel kind of special anyway. 🙂

Monkeyrunner: Don't worry about 35 people interviewing. I had a trip where there were about 60 interviewees. I thought it would be weird, but it was just fine and actually kind of nice because you can lose yourself in the crowd if you want. 🙂

Yeah, 35 seems pretty crowded and I actually asked about that. I guess it just depends on who shows up. In any case, they are apparently giving the scholarship to 6 people, so it will be kinda wierd competing for those slots. I never really felt like I was competing with the other interviewers before. I'll be hoping for my fellow SDNer's, maybe the three of us will be there next year! (As if we would even know each other 😀 )

I got that same offer! Although I wasn't called, I just got a letter...but I withdrew anyhow, so hopefully they won't give my letter to someone else and now you will be down to 34! Good luck everyone!
