I've been trying to weigh the different aspects of the 2 NJ schools...and finding it different to choose. I've looked at the differences in clinical education, research opportunities and location...each with pros and cons.
If anyone has ideas specifically about how different residency programs perceive the 2 schools, that would be of great help...also if there are other important facets I forgot, I would really appreciate it.
thanks.

As I am only a junior and have yet to take the MCAT I probably know less about the schools than you do but I had an interesting conversation with a prof about the same subject. He told me that the two schools would never say this but that RWJ is a more academic experience...that is, more traditional than NJMED which has supposedly taken a more modern stance (earlier patient experience). He told me that he thinks RWJ students may have the bookworm edge so I really don't know how much of a diff that makes as far as residencies. What I do know is this, when I interned at Jersey Shore Medical Center this summer, I was surrounded by a million RWJ graduates (mostly in OBG). They seemed to love the school and told me they made their choice between the schools by location. So, I'm assuming they may be fairly equal.

Thanks for replying...
What you said regarding NJMS vs. RWJ is pretty much what I've heard as well...I just wanted to know if there's any truth.
It's a big choice. Obviously I want to get an excellent clincal education, but at the same time I do want to do research...RWJ's research facilities (especially for cancer) look great. And of course there are location/patient population issues.
