Wow, I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I'm actually looking forward to biochem.

Anatomy sucks. 17 more hours until I'm free of this.

Just took my Anatomy final. MY GOD was that brutal. I hope I pass.

As someone who has considered urology and peds, I surely hope that isn't true. But no one seems to thinks women can be pedobears, so i should be a-OK.

Next weekend? We have a three day weekend (Friday is off since we finish anatomy on Thursday 😎).
 
Just tied for the highest grade in the class on our first test. I got a....... pass!

Truth. Grades are for wusses.

Everyone at my school still compares percentages though, which I kind of hate. I always thought was gauche to ask.

Survived histo and biochem exams! Phew! November is hell month for us though. I think we have 5 or 6 (?) exams that month, including the histo shelf. Ugh!

I'm jealous of you guys that are finishing up with anatomy already! We have it all year, which is teh sux. 🙁

Other than that though, I'm really enjoying med school so far! The material is cool and I love my classmates! 🙂

I wish people here were open about their scores. I don't really care if people know how I do, so I openly share my stuff. Most people aren't that way though.

I don't mind sharing with people I trust. But we're not pass/fail. Just that stupid A/B/C/F crap under the guise of H/HP/P/F. And HP is such a tease, since it's only 88-91%, or something like that.
 
It sounds nicer to say I 'honored' biochemistry vs saying I 'aced' biochemistry. But yeah I don't think it makes a diff.
 
People always compare percents at my school too, even though it hardly matters and they could estimate their rank with the mean and standard deviation if they knew anything about statistics

anyways.


The director of Captain America acts like tinting all the computer screens in the movie sepia will disguise the fact that all the technology in the movie is not only more advanced than what we have today, but completely implausible for 1942

****, it's Sunday already. I can't seem to enjoy Sundays knowing that school is looming the next day. It was nice while it lasted.

Yeah, it's nice to know how other people study, whether it pays off, and whether you should believe the stuff they say. This is partially indicated by scores.

Yeah I really like that they give out the percentage statistics, although I wish they included the median here. Average test scores for biochem were ~87%. WTF. I was really stoked that I beat the mean on the final (I screwed up the first test).

I'm enjoying anatomy more than biochem. Seems more applicable to my little flawed paradigm of what clinicians need to know. Surgery's getting more appealing. Still trying to get it into my head that I also need to know innervation/blood supply/attachment stuff, not just the name of the muscle/bone/organ lol.

So, I'm finally getting sick of tacquitos, but I've been struggling to think of another cheap food to eat. It can't be soup, because that was my cheap food during the first month of school and I'm already sick of that. And then it hit me: why am I not eating more pancakes? 😕

Next stops on Sun's cheap culinary adventure:
- Mac n Cheese
- Ramen with whatever veggies you have on hand thrown into the broth
- PB&J... which you'll try grilling like a grilled cheese to make it fancy
 
chewing gum is incredibly cheap and keeps your mind off of food for a long time. i use it to keep me from snacking during study sessions.
