Class of 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I can't believe people want to keep their Netters. I'm ready to sell this or donate it to the library now that I'm done with Anatomy.

Just had a block exam yesterday morning. After that, much steam-releasing was done. And no classes scheduled today.

not having to study today feels good man

awesome!!! what block did you finish?

Next stops on Sun's cheap culinary adventure:
- Mac n Cheese
- Ramen with whatever veggies you have on hand thrown into the broth
- PB&J... which you'll try grilling like a grilled cheese to make it fancy

1) I'll consider it. I'm really drooling over the thought of bisquick and krusteaz, tho
2) veggies on hand? I haven't so much as seen a veggie in 3 months
3) made me lol, but i'm far too lazy to grill! I heard also heard PB prices are skyrocketing thanks to climate change 🙁

I think everyone is taking finals this week. BTW, did you pick up your practical exam today?

Yes, indeed I did. Just happy I passed... 👍 How about you?

I'm keeping mine. I was never really the type to keep books in undergrad, but I feel like I'm going to want to keep most of my med school books for a future office. Meh, whatever.

I think Netter's is one of the few book worth keeping along.

Histo exam today, last anatomy exam Thursday.

I has a sad.

I have an exam tomorrow, have to study today, feels bad man 🙁

Good luck guys!

Yes I am incredibly happy that I passed! The averages look pretty decent. I'm surprised because a lot of people complained that the test was hard.

Sounds cool. Actually, I have a friend going into PA school next year so I might just donate my Netters to him.

Agreed.

I passed my first Biochem exam! I actually did a little better than I expected, then there was a slight curve, to boot. Hooray! I'm pleased with myself, especially considering the fact I popped out a kid 2 1/2 weeks before the test, 2 days after the block started.

Yay Geeks! We're proud of our Geekmama 🙂

Cell/molecular bio. Now starting in on immuno/heme. I feel like I have a better idea of how I should be studying now, but I'm sure I'll be proven wrong. 🙂

So sleepy after that last damn Histo/Path lecture...

Why are the Pathology faculties teaching Histo whyyy

Anatomy exam yesterday. I can't believe we're almost halfway through our 2nd block 😱 On the positive side, I'm pleased with my progress.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! 👍

I just finished a four hour stint in the anatomy lab.

🙁
If it makes you feel better, I spent approx. 6.5 hours dissecting in anatomy lab a few weeks ago. Right after taking a biochem exam. That day blew.

The last 3 times I've had to dissect, we've had exams on the same day. Next week is the first time I'll be dissecting when I don't have an exam on the same day, so I'll be less burnt out from studying and might actually enjoy anatomy lab for once. :xf:

Wow, I am soooo glad my school is on a block schedule. Never have to deal with that.

😱 How many exams have you had so far? If I had exams as frequently as I have anatomy labs, I would has a major sad

Just had a 3 hour lecture on "stress management." We were told that the LCME requires some sort of well-being training. Must be part of the push to make us more humane lol.

my school had some of those hours during orientation. if you have too many during the school year, the stress-management seminars become themselves stressful, because everyone is sitting there panicking about how they need to be studying for the upcoming test instead of spending three hours in a useless seminar 😎

This is soooo true... It makes me less annoyed by my school knowing that the LCME requires these well-being things. I thought they were just being a bunch of SoCal hippies promoting peace, love etc.

EDIT: Just burned my laptop touch-pad finger making a quesodilla... SDN productivity down the drain 🙁

We definitely don't have any metaclasses like that.

We've had 5 exams so far (2 for histo, 2 for biochem, and 1 for physio). I dissect every other week, so the past several weeks sucked. Next week is my last dissection for the semester though! 🙂

sarcasm?

you will eventually, and you will learn to hate them. Same with the lcme-required evidence-based medicine hours...

I only know my schedule until Christmas, but I haven't seen any stress-management classes in the timetable. *shrug* There are some slots for "evidence-based medicine," though.

We need evidence-based medicine classes!! I was going to suggest them if we didn't. Classmate's response to why those with nephrotic syndrome have problems with clotting "well, more things are floating around and can get stuck and form a clot." Dude, research. 👎

yeah i'm not seeing anything on my schedule about it. at least nothing that was required. we had some informal talks about stress management but it was purely voluntary

isoprop did you just change your user title today or did i subconsciously get my earlier bisquick craving from it

I think it was a month ago? I'm not sure because my sense of time has been screwed ever since med school started. I think it's been weeks since Anatomy ended, but it was only last Thursday. 🙄

Omg I just found out that I like playing hockey.

In shoes.

With a ball.

Anatomy final and OSCE done. 2 weeks of sweet freedom until my next exam.

Anyone else think this thread should be moved to allo? I'm tired of wading through the crap to get to this thread. I guess I should just subscribe.

Any of you guys have blogs or know of M1's with blogs?

It was such a gorgeous day here in Chi-tonw. The last few days were cold and rainy, so there was no way in hell I was going to spend such a nice day studying.

It definitely was. GF and I went downtown and walked around for a bit and saw a movie. I got my winter coat. I'm ready for the winter. 😎
