Class of 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
🙁 Don't worry, you'll have some luck with the school that's right for you!!

So, guys, this is part of my tele strip from last night. Thought some of you might be interested, I thought it was kind of cool. 😀 Those first three beats are normal sinus rhythm, then you see three beats of ventricular bigeminy--or one sinus beat followed by a preventricular contraction (PVC). You can tell a PVC because they're wider than sinus beats and come before the normal sinus beat otherwise would. Basically means that the ventricle is contracting before the sinoatrial node (the normal pacemaker) gets a chance to fire an electric signal. I was doing this for a few hours last night, with PVCs every two to six beats. A PVC once in a while is very normal, but they aren't supposed to happen this often! Needless to say I am making an appointment with the cardiologist this week. But the moral of the story is that heart rhythms are cool and I'm really happy I work on a cardiac floor.

Nice QT interval 😉

They did get someone into Mayo though and Wayne State. They have never been the type to hype someone up or really be nice at all. Like I made a breakthrough in one of their experiments and they were just like, ok. You know they are proud of you when they aren't talking crap to you. That type of person.

Wayne State 😍

I love it down here.

But, I'd be happy to go to any school. My mom keeps telling me... you're going to get accepted everywhere, and then were going to have a headache in deciding where you want to go.

TWHS :meanie:

and I agree with your mom. 👍

I was about to submit a TOP! post right after I said bottom but then my PI walked in

busted!!

Teehee, I don't think he has a problem with it. This is the last week of my internship program and I already finished my poster so there's not much else to do.

Except to Spam on SDN! 👍

Is that ur UG?

mmmm I get to go to lunch in 5 min! yay!
I had an apple for a snack and I think it made me even hungrier!

If you and I go to Wayne, we can be friends, and have chopsticks handy at all times.

Golden fortune cookies too. Speaking of China One.... hmmmm lunch time!

Friends? What are those?

I'm at lunch now and my boss comped it.

Although, I must point out... the OUWB curriculum and organization scheme is pretty damn awesome. You get an entire month for Step 1 review!!!

Plus I enjoy the systems based curriculum.

Personally, I think the two best curriculums out of all the programs I've looked at... is a cross between Georgetown/Michigan for pre-clinical and clinical Wayne State/OUWB.

I think I just singlehandedly crashed OU's e-mail server with how many times I've refreshed my e-mail today.

I worry though about living at OU. Having to drive to BORO once a week would be a hassle, and if you live in RO you have to drive to Rochester 4 times a week. Both are gorgeous cities though.

Hahhahah are you a closet Sheldon Cooper?

That's awesome. I get free lunch all the time... from my PI.... *sigh* I'm just eye candy for him.

I don't watch The Big Bang Theory.

You really should take advantage of this, you could have a sugar daddy. Many women dream of that scenario.

What is this all about? In the 4 years I've been doing research I had one PI buy me lunch once, and it was because I helped her make a deadline on a grant proposal. I should really reconsider my priorities when looking for future research jobs.

Why worry about living?

Plus, I enjoy driving. I own 75 and my little side routes.

Have u been on 75 lately? With Southfield being closed 75 and Telegraph are horrendous. I would prefer taking M-10 to the Warren exit 😎

Just added my name to the PS reader list. I hope I don't regret it

Clearly you don't work as hard as I do.

Sarcasm in case you didn't realize. Today all I've done is tell a younger pre-med to make a buffer solution. That is all I've done.

In my lab we get free lunch from the PI when it's someone's last day...it's a "going away" lunch tradition

That's what I get for thinking that a physicist would want to socialize

Should've done Chemistry. I'm mad that I didn't pick chem, the Chem faculty here play soccer with their lab workers once a week.

I always have a hard time deciding between orange chicken and Kung Pao

Just answered the phone while my mouth was stuffed with food. Our lab is known for it's manners.

Awesome way to start the top of the page.
