I wanted to know if a BS in Clinical lab Science is a degree that U of A or Midwestern would accept for entrance into pharmacy school.? I know that you have to do prereqs and I might do them at ASU or U of A.

With proper pre-requisites, any degree is sufficient for pharmacy school... even my Psychology degrees 😛

I think Mike36 on this board also has a degree in CLS and is in the PharmD / PhD program at a great school

Do your pre-reqs at UofA if that is the choice you have. ASU science courses = blow. I speak from experience. You can also take them at community college if it will save you money. PVCC and MCC are the ones that come to mind that actually prepare you the best for professional school. Smaller class sizes, professors that really care about your success, and some REALLY nice labs. MCC and PVCC just built brand new science buildings. I can point you in the direction of the best professors 🙂 I know them very, very well.

BTW, you should go for UofA. Just keep your GPA up.

DeVry is an unacceptable choice because most schools will not accept their credits.

Either he added that in later or I totally missed that with my blurry eyes...

I didn't even know DeVry offered 4 year degrees...

It was in the top highlighted part of the post. Any fully accredited 2/4 year school will be okay.

yikes... for-profit minded universities like DeVry, University of Phoenix, and Kaplan University are bad... but not as bad as ITTech

There are some 2/4 colleges and universities that simply will not accept credit from those institutions. I saw University of Phoenix touting their "MBA" program on the TV .

Be very careful of DeVRy. I went there back in 2001 and got a computer science degree, and all of the pharmacy schools that I applied to DO NOT ACCEPT courses taken there.

I had to retake all my general eds in order to meet most SOP's course list.
